  • Collaborate with parents and families to develop services, establish goals, support and empowerment plan based on needs. Follow-up to monitor the progress, needed resources, etc. that assist the client towards a better life free from pain.
  • Collaborate with social service agencies, schools, law enforcement, justice system, and health care providers in response to victims of violence and sexual assault.
  • Provide support that promotes better parenting, child development, behavioral and mental health, transitions into and out of shelter, etc.
  • Plan and coordinate recreational activities for children, as well as activities that include interaction with both parent and child.
  • Utilize a trauma-informed approach in interactions with clients and hotline callers. Engage in regular self-care as a strategy to prevent and address vicarious trauma, burnout, and compassion fatigue.
  • Available to assist 24-hour crisis hotlines (Domestic Violence Hotlines, Sexual Assault Hotlines, and shelter business lines) and make consistent, appropriate decisions regarding referral, safety planning and linking to emergency shelters utilizing professional discretion and judgment.
  • Provide advocacy to clients as needed. Adjust schedule as needed to meet client scheduling needs.
  • Experience working with sexual assault, domestic violence, trafficking, rape, homeless women, teens, children is preferred.
  • Responsible for operations and compliance with applicable standards and laws.
  • Organize two - four (2 – 4) community events per month, help your local communities, build them up.
  • Gather and report required information for funding sources. Raising capital or funds is required. Must work with all sources of funding – corporations, small business, partner organizations, foundations, government grants and others.
  • Help us run better quality programs for girls and women of our world based on the industry standards, goals and objectives as agreed to with your direct report(s) during the development phase of the programs.

The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of experience supporting social and community development programs.

Bellaland's internship and trainee program helps the undergraduate students, graduate students, and recent graduates to develop the required skills in a friendly, professional environment.

While scheduling is flexible, we expect a minimum of 20 hours per week for at least 12 weeks.
Types of Internship available:

  • Raising Capital, funds, Grant Writing, Event Planning, Advocacy, Social Media Marketing, Advertising, Influencers, Story Tellers, Film makers, Documentary Makers, Writers, programmers (Coders), App builders, and Content Creators.
  • Daily tasks and projects will include but are not limited to donor research, development, maintenance, and raising capital or funds.
  • Grant research, development and writing.
  • Responsible for strategic development, business development and implementation of marketing plan and promotional content.
  • HR and organization skills, ability to work independently, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Interest or experience in raising capital or funds is strongly preferred.
  • Preferred - Graphic design, Search Engine Optimization, App Development, Google Drive and Microsoft Excel.
  • Interest in and knowledge of gender issues, international relations, international development and/or human rights.
  • Cultural awareness and sensitivity.
